VoIP- Voice over Internet Protocol

What is VoIP?

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), also known as IP telephony, is a way to send and receive voice calls over the internet. VoIP converts analogue voice signals into digital data packets that can be transmitted over IP networks. This enables you to make and receive phone calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a traditional copper telephone line.

VoIP can allow you to make a call directly from a computer, a VoIP phone or an existing telephone connected to a special adapter.
