One Touch Switch

 

 

Switching to BeFibre is now easier than ever. One Touch Switch (OTS) is a new industry-wide process designed to make switching broadband providers simpler and faster.

It allows you to change your broadband service provider by only contacting your new provider. 

 

If that's us, great news- we'll handle the entire switching process on your behalf. We'll take care of everything for you from start to finish, including letting your existing provider know that you're switching!

 

So how does it all work?

 

Step 1

  • Choose one of our fantastic BeFibre packages 
  • Whether you order online, over the phone or at your door with one of our friendly sales agents, you'll be asked if you want to use the One Touch Switch process. 
  • As part of the sales process you'll be asked for your current providers detail and what services you want to switch to BeFibre.
  • We'll check the details with the OTS Hub to find a match and then we can start the switch process. Sometimes we may need a few more details so it's a good idea to have your previous providers account reference handy in case we have any trouble finding you. 

 

Step 2

  • When we request the switch your previous provider will contact you to let you any implications of switching such as service loss any early termination fees. 
  • Once received we will send you a copy of your contract and ask you to consent to the switch. 
  • We'll book in your install date with you and then it's time to get excited about your BeFibre broadband. 

 

Step 3 

  • Once your install is complete your BeFibre services will go live and your old service will cease. If you have chosen to bring over a landline this  will port over within12 days from your install date but you will have a temporary number until then.

Frequently asked questions. 

 

What information do I need to provide to switch?

You will need to provide the address your service is installed at, your name, and the name of your existing provider along with the services you want to switch. It might be useful to have your current account number handy in case your new provider needs ant additional info. This will help to ensure a smooth match and switch.

 

How will I know when my new service is live?

As part of your welcome journey with BeFibre we will keep you informed every step of the way from install info to going live.

 

Can I choose my switch date?

Yes, you can select the date you want switch, and we will try and get availability for your installation to go live on that date.

 

What if my switch day changes? Will I lose my service?

No, sometimes delays can happen, but OTS is designed to ensure you’re not without service, so if your switch day changes there is no panic- your old service does not cease until your new service goes live.

 

Will I be provided with new equipment?

Yes, we will provide you with our BeFibre router

 

Can I bring my telephone number with me?

Yes, you can, your number will be ported over to us as part of the OTS process, please note this can take up to 12 days from your install date to go live but you will have a temporary number until then.

 

When will I get billed?

You will get your first bill the day after your install and it’s due 10 days later. You will however get a final bill from your current provider once your service is cancelled so you may get two bills in one month.

 

Can I switch back to my old provider if I'm not happy?

We hope that wouldn’t be the case and pride ourselves on our 30-day Guarantee, however if you did want to leave, we have a 14-day cooling off period, but you need to contact your old provider and go back through OTS process again.
